Creamy Garlic Steak, Mushroom & Broccoli Skillet

Tender steak, juicy mushrooms and broccoli in a rich, creamy garlic sauce – an easy and comforting one-pan meal.

Ingredients

  • 700 g beef steak, cut into strips
  • 300 g mushrooms, sliced
  • 300 g broccoli, cut into florets
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 250 ml heavy cream
  • 150 ml beef stock
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 50 g grated Parmesan

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over high heat. Add the steak and sear until nicely browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  2. Add the butter and mushrooms to the same skillet and cook until golden.
  3. Add the onion and garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes.
  4. Add the broccoli and cook for another 3 minutes.
  5. Pour in the beef stock and heavy cream. Stir in the Dijon mustard, thyme, salt and black pepper.
  6. Simmer gently for about 5 minutes until the sauce begins to thicken.
  7. Stir in the Parmesan.
  8. Return the steak to the skillet and gently combine everything. Simmer for another 2–3 minutes until the steak is heated through and the broccoli is tender.
  9. Serve immediately and spoon plenty of the creamy mushroom sauce over the steak.
